I owe back taxes, can I discharge them in bankruptcy?
There are certain taxes that are dischargeable in bankruptcy. The dischargeability of income taxes is based on when those taxes were due, and whether there is a tax lien filed against you. Generally, the taxes owed must be greater than three years old, and not subject to a tax lien. During a free consultation with our bankruptcy attorneys, we can provide you with guidance as to whether those taxes you owe are dischargeable or not.
